matter
is he/she nawing on the hutch or the metal of the run? This can rub off fur on the sides of his face. Giving other things to naw on may help

Cat
My sister has got it all wrong. He has a small bald patch on his side which also has a sore the size of a 5p piece. The sore looks clean and is not weeping. Can I put some calendula or hypericulm cream on it to help the healing? We do not know how he got it in the first place. The Dogmother
Unless it's caused by rubbing on something, then it coudl be mites or a fungal infection such as ringworm. I'd try tea tree cream; I know that this is safe for bunnies and it's a good antifungal.
Hockeyaholic
Do rabbits molt? cause we keep noticing clumps of fur in the run etc. They're not fighting and there appaear to be no bald patches on either of them.
The Dogmother
Yup, they moult like heck! Mine lost so much last summer with all that heat that I have decided to keep their fur this year and try to spin it into a yarn. I often see loose bits hanging off them and just hand-strip it out, or Rosie likes to get the cat comb out and give them a groom. The problem is that it is so light and fluffy that it gets up your nose and makes you sneeze.
matter
you can hang the fur you find or brush out in onion nets for the birds to use as nesting material
The Dogmother
I used to do that with the dog and cat fur. But the bunny hair is so fine that I think I will try to spin it.

The Dogmother
I've used it diluted to wash out their htuch, and used tea tree cream on any cuts, but I suspect that it's too strong on it's own.
