Just a quick question - I have read on here that it's a good idea to dig some garden lime into the soil underneath a WIR.

Can anybody tell me please how much lime do I need to dig in - the WIR is 15' long and 6' wide with the bare earth in the middle being about 13' x 5'.

There will be a good layer of Hemcore on top too for them to no doubt kick all over the place

Not much. An handful per square metre or so I suppose - just a light dusting

I mix in garden lime and stalosan every now and then. Just a handful scattered around and dug in. No precise measurements though, sorry.

I had an idea it wasn't much.

Off outside now to dig it over, level it out a bit and then Hemcore it ready for the girls!

 

Might even have to have a glass of wine in there later to open it officially
