Ginger stopped laying!

Recommended Posts

My Gingernut is just over two years old and has always been a very reliable layer,

A couple of weeks ago she laid a strange looking egg with a ridged shell.

(Maybe irrelevant She went back to laying normal eggs again afterwards.)

However, she slowed down to every other day and now hasn`t laid for about five or six days.

She appears to be well. Eating, drinking, bossing, etc.

Has she stopped laying for ever, do you think?

I agree with Christian I would worm her and see if that makes any difference.

My Pepperpot of a similar age only lays egss with no shell now, which they eat before I get to them unless they fall into the poo tray  . Did yours lay good shells or were they thin, could she be laying eggs that are getting eaten?
