Sorry I'm being really needy at the moment. Having overcome problems relating to dimensions (ie would it all fit together) I'm now having difficulties actually screwing the panels together. It's a BAH product and the wood used is, I think, 2x2. I've tried using my rechargeable cordless screwdriver but it just isn't pushing the screws in. Should I be pre-drilling or buying a better screwdriver? :?

first off you need to use crosshead screws know as pozidrive twin treads are the best slotted screws slip to much with a battery drill

secondly drill a clear hole trugh the first timber if there is'nt already one in use the driver on a slow speed for driving screws high speed for drilling if they still wont go in then you need to drill a pilot hole 2.5mm for No 8 (4mm) screws 3mm for N10(5mm)screws

in my opion some of the best screws around.we wont let our boss order anything else

used then on all 3 of my coops plus the runs

100% correct sjp. None of the panels on a BAH run are pre-drilled. On the run I've been helping with today, we pre-drilled all the panels and used four screws on each vertical (two in from one side, two from the other). Pre-drilling the first timber makes all the difference. Also, as sjp said, using a 'bit' that fits the supplied screws perfectly makes life much easier (no 'jumping'), as does using a fully charged drill at all times (we were using two, one always charging while the other in use).

I used a drill to pre drill the screw holes and then used a screw driver to hand screw each screw. I have s"Ooops, word censored!"ed knuckles from them rubbing against the mesh and the mother of all blisters on my palm.

It was worth it though!! My WIR looks ace!

The screws are those supplied by the company who made the run. They look like conventional Phillips crosshead screws. The screwdriver says 14.4 v. Does that make sense|?

make perfect sence. 14.4v should have the grunt for the job

I'd expect the screws to be Pozidrive (if you click on the picture of the screw in the link I posted earlier thats a pozidrive) not philips it makes a drifferance if the head has a smaller cross in between the bigger one then you need a pozidrive bit. for no8 and No10 screws you need a number 2 bit
