Friend has a hen who breaks and eats the eggs - shes tried curry poweder with no luck. Looked thro FAQ couldnt find anything. any ideas please

i think what you have to do is to get a ceramic egg and put it in the nestbox. when she trys to peck it she won't get anything and it will be like pecking a wall - not too plesant!!! good luck

witness on of my hens doing that this afternoon. I replaced it with Anna (5) toy egg!

Thanks folks will suggest to my friend. Another friend has a feather pecker - suggested water psitol as suggested on here. Shes tried malt viengar inthe water as it makes their feathers taste odd and the spray to no avail. She is probably sitting with her morning tea squriting away as we speak

Try different brands of spray as they taste different, and some work better than others. Switch regularly so the hen doesn't get used to a particular brand.
