Football Chat continued - part 3

Breaking News ( though probably not on Sky TV)!!!

Worcester City (my team) have signed (on loan) Paul Barratt from Liverpool reserves, a member of the FA Youth Cup Winners 2006 team.

I know you all watch proper football, but this is big news for WCFC.

Barratt goes straight into the team today, home against Kettering (played 3 won 3, 10 goals scored). If WCFC get at least a point I'm sure Paul Barratt will get freedom of the city and an open top bus parade.

Might even get an attendance of over 1000. -Happy Days

I can confidently say that Alexander had no help from his dad this week with the predictions-he was banned from the computer as a punishment & I sneakily let him on to put on his predictions while his dad was at work-I can't have him falling behind now, can i?

Go alihodg!!!!

I would just like to send my thoughts to the friends and family of the several football players who have died this week.

Antonio Puerta - Sevilla

Ray Jones - QPR

Anton Ried - Walsall

Also - I hope that Clive Clark is recovering after his collapse at HT in the Forest vs Leicester game and I also hope that Royston Drenthe has recovered after his car crash in Madrid.

ok....

I'm back from my hols in Scotlandceistershire..

Bolton didn't have a dream start to the season - nor did the Princess in the omlet league or the fantasy league...

but.. like Chelsea - while I was a way half my fantasy team were injured or suspended! and i recall the girls being on top when the league started last year.... there is a way to go yet 8)

anyway - just to say thanks to Helen for holding the fort for me while I was away, if she wasn't doing so well already I might have awarded a bonus point for her hard work..

as for others - moaning about missing points.. any more of that and there will be points docked!

The princess's 50points win bonus will be factored in shortly which should see the table looking more like it should

Anyway... a BIG THANKS to Helen

Phil x

Oh dear... it's such a shame that Alex's predictions didn't get through to the forum this week... and he was doing so well....... 8)

Have just checked out the Worcester City website but could not find a result for your Kettering match. (I'm guessing from the fact that you didn't post again that maybe it wasn't good news)..?

PS

I wouldn't decry Blue Square North as not proper football! I don't think the top flight or Championship are much like proper football these days so I would be quite interested to read your non-league postings on here! :D

Same old,Same old.....

1-0 up in 5 minutes, 3-1 down in 30 mins H-T 2-3.

Played 4 strikers second half and didn't get a shot on target. final score 2-3

Champagne back in the cellar!!!!

Played better away @ Telford (monday) drew 1-1, always nice to get a 93rd minute equaliser  . A great ground at Telford by the way.

I know a little about championship/first division/second division or whatever it's called these days as I had home season tickets at Molineux for nearly 20 years

and away season tickets for a couple of years. Saw nearly every one of Steve Bulls goals, including some for England. I still go occasionally as i'm trying to complete 92 football league grounds with Wolves (did Doncaster this season, friendly lost 1-0), hoping to get to S"Ooops, word censored!"horpe in Feb, won't mention last night

Worcester city web-site currently being updated (only had all summer to do it!!!)
