bennett Posted July 20, 2010 Share Posted July 20, 2010 So after it seems bringing a newbie into the coop, and her passing away 3 weeks later i now have mycroplasma in the coop All chooks are now sneezing, only a little ,however now my broody and her chicks (in seperate eglu) are sneezing too The vet has ordered me in a box of tylan, should be here by friday but can i give it to the chicks??? I really dont know and because my vet is an urban vet he is not up on his chook knowledge, although give him his due, he is being really good. So what shall i do??? bennett Posted July 20, 2010 Author Share Posted July 20, 2010 well just googled it and apparently it is ok for chicks however corect dosage will be a nightmare as it is 50g per 1000 chicks, so how on earth am i going to measure it for 6 chicks and a broody! Madchook Posted July 20, 2010 Share Posted July 20, 2010 yes you can, but not really young chicks you would have to use something like Dengard i think (this is what I was told by my rural vet)-it is ok after a couple of weeks (mine were 5). Although i now have a massive bottle of the poweder enough to do about 1000 chickens! Fingers crossed this works or i will be forking out for baytrill too!
