andynjanec
I have a couple of hens and chicks that are yawning and stretching their necks. Is it a problem or do I bore them?
SeramaSilly
Hi there, I'm not an expert at all but one of my hens was gaping/yawning and from what I've read on the forums I thought it must be gapeworm and I wormed them all with Flubenvet and the problem was solved. Egluntyne
They could be just rearranging the contents of their crops. Generally with gapeworm, they are also coughing and spluttering and obviously unwell.
The Dogmother
Keep an eye on them but it could just be the hot muggy weather; like us, they do it when they need more oxygen.
