I was heading towards the Eglu, but I am taken with the Flyte so Fancy hen houses and they also have the added bonus that the hen house door can open automatically. As I start work at 4am I will then have less worries about the chickens disturbing the the horrible neighbours. Shame Eglu dont do an automatic opener.

If you site the eglu on concrete or slabs, you can leave the door open in summer anyway.

I leave my eglu door open all the time, all year round

 

Its on slabs so I know should be safe from the fox, but did the same when it was on grass too

Ive got an eglu inside a walk in run, so my girls have the door open all the time too
