We treated the girls to some gravel in their run and got rid of the bark chipping they had before. It is easier to spot the poo on the pebbles but I thought it would deter some of the flies if I gave the gravel a clean each night.

What can I use to do this - I thought maybe some disinfectant mixed in water and sprinkled on with a watering can might do the trick ?

I wonder if dilute Milton would work, it should be fairly hen safe, I'd have thought?

I suspect it may just wash the poo into the soil ( unless you have it on slabs?). Have you thought about Aubiose? I swear by it after trying just about everything else.

The gravel is on top of one of those weed membranes.......I thought a wash with something would help
