chickenlady
Dumb question....my girls are on wiggly wigglers growers pellets, when I purchased them I also brought a bag of the layers mash which is what I want to feed them when they are old enough..The big question is when is the right time to change them over ?? I have enough growers for another week or two, so should I order a small bag of growers so they have longer on it or change them to layers. The girlies are about 16 weeks this Friday... Many thanks as always Nikki
Egluntyne
I wouldn't bother myself. I'd mix them half and half with layers till they are all gone.
Jools
I do the reverse - of course! Mine stay on growers until they start laying, then I switch them to layers so I'd order more growers.
The Dogmother
I wouldn't bother myself. I'd mix them half and half with layers till they are all gone. I do the same, just be careful not to get them onto layers too early as it could cause them to start laying sooner than their bodies are ready for. hennyjenny
Use up your growers and get a bag of layers and mix a few layers in with the growers so there is a gradual change over to all layers but don't worry - don't waste your growers - I 've mixed in chick crumb, growers and layers so I don't waste anything! The girls are happy and healthy!
