Charlottechicken
I was just wondering if the tax office have ever chased anyone for a cut of their egg money? I make approx £60 per year from selling eggs but as it costs more than that to feed and look after the hens, so just wondered what the official guidelines are? Any tax boffins out there? Snowy
My tax office didn't want to know as it was such a small amount and wasn't likely to make me any profit!
Charlottechicken
Thanks Snowy, I was hoping that was the case
Lewis
Someone asked and they said if you spend more on the hobby (keeping chickens) than you make from it, then its fine ... which you do when you consider the cost of the eglu, WIR, feed etc
