I got back to work last Monday, Im doing OK, I still get some soreness & pulling on the wound if I do silly things - like carrying vac upstairs :shameonu: , so Im still enlisting OH & DS to lift things. Its funny previously it was like pulling teeth to get any help because Im so independant they were not used to having to help me often. but the lads are being great & cant do enough for me :) I think I'll string this one out for as long as I can :dance:

The guys at work were not expencting me back so soon, I was only off for 4 weeks but as soon as I could drive there really was no excuse, made me think about taking my pension lump sum at 55 and cutting my hours in the next few years, DS goes off to uni this week & once he's finished then I won't be working full time anymore :clap::clap:

Mine took ages to heal as I burst 2 stitches, so they had to be re done. The scar got infected & I had a big hole which I could see deep inside of. :vom: I had a lot of trouble after my operation. I'm sure I was off my feet for about 3 months! I got a lot of pain from the scar tissue for years after. I had mine done when I was 14 & even now I can't comfortably lie on that side - it feels odd & numb like. As for catching my scar or it being touched ( shhh) it makes me feel sickly. Wierd.

Hope your recovery is much much better than mine was.
