I got the ladder out today to pick some victoria plums for a Jamie Oliver duck recipe, however when I cut them in half lots of them had a red worm in Can anyone tell me what to do to prevent this next year

I'm not sure that there's anything on the market anymore

I tried the pheramone (sp?) traps a few years ago for both apples and plums ended up with a lot more grubs than ever

Last yr our tree which 3 of us share on allotment has similar prob - this yr the same - bright pinkish red worm in it. I cut off good bits and binned rest. We were told to cut it right down but my book says not in winter and there is a spray - someone on allotment told friends OH. I will try and find out more but suspect some one will know. I was told last yr it was wasps but i dont think it was a wasp larvae. We are able to make jam, chutney etc just dont bit into one
