Today my youngest son and I put together our new (cube green), which took less than an hour. Big pat on our backs :clap: . Afer positioning it in the run next to the (green eglu) and the wooden house we watched to see if the girls would be interested.

Not even a twitch from them...so how were we going to get them into the (cube green) for their first night?

We had a cunning plan

We waited until the three matrons (Doris, Edna and Audrey) went into the eglu first, shut the door and then grabbed each of them in turn through the nest box hatch and put them into the (cube green) , ensuring no 2 son closed the cube door each time.

When the matrons go to bed next is normally Lizzie, Nursie, Hatty, Itchy, Scratchy and Bob. So again we went through the same procedure, grabbing them in turn through the (green eglu) nest box hatch and placing them into their new home.

Boldrick is normally the last girl to bed and then she wants to roost on top of the eglu run each night - but we managed to get her into the eglu and in turn we put her into the (cube green).

So the girls are all together as usual but with a bit more room then normal.

:?:Quandary - What do I do with the now redunant (green eglu) . Sell it or get more girls? Hmmmmm?

:?
