iandjsmum
Hi Everyone We've got some local agricultural shows coming up soon and I'm wondering whether I am brave enough to 'show' any of my precious girls.... Can anyone tell me whether you can enter a hen with clipped wings or not? I'm a complete novice here and would appreciate any advice on shows in general. Thanks. Redwing
Hi, A quick response here as I cant linger. Officially you could show a chicken with clipped wings but its a bit of a no-no really, it certainly wouldnt be placed sadly I'll pop back later to leave some general showing advice
iandjsmum
Thank you Redwing. That was really helpful. I might think twice now and perhaps wait 'til next year....
Mr Rhode Island Red
The local agricultural show is taking place next week, I was thinking about entering one of my girls, well all I could enter was one because the rest are hybrids, Sarah, my plymouth rock. However then I thought I would just go to the show, ask some of the people entering chickens about how to get them ready, and then enter next year.
