Deb Dav
Well Done.... I sell my eggs from the house too. I invested in an A chalk board and made a nice sign to advertise on the road side but I hardly need to put it out. My neighbours and people who have bought from me before knock on the front door, even when my sign isn't out!! I have a customer who tends to be at the door at half eight on a Saturday morning, just to make sure he gets some eggs... needless to say although I am up due to letting the girls out, I am not at my best. Your new customers will be back time and time again because there is nothing better then fresh eggs straight from the source. Good luck in the new enterprise! Lavenders_Blue
Hooray! It's a lovely feeling to send people away with lovely fresh eggs from super-happy hens. I always feel so bad when we don't have enough and we have to turn people away. Often, if I say 'Sorry, we only have 3 eggs today', people will say 'No problem, I'll take those and come back another day!'
scarlettohara
Son had to go and get eggs from under a laying chook this am for his breakfast - she wasn't happy
chickyhazel
We sell to a few neighbours and it's always embarrassing when you have to say "sorry, no eggs left today!" I swear the chooks don't lay as much when you need the eggs...
