Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Last week, I had a problem with Millie incessantly pecking Em. I got anti-peck spray, and I don't know whether it was that, or time, but the pecking seems to have pretty much stopped, although Millie now seems to have moved from bottom to top of the chickerarchy.

 

But, I have now spotted that Em has an injury to her side where Millie was pecking. It looks quite nasty but it seems to be healing. There are scabs but no fresh blood. I don't have any purple spray (although I know now to get some) but do things like this just go away by themselves? Em looks happy enough, is eating, laying etc. She backs down pretty quickly to the others, but they're not really mean to her any more. Is she likely to just heal by herself?

I would say yes but keep an eye out for smell (or ear) and watch for heat or swelling around the wound which could indicate infection and would need treatment. Hope she heals fine.

In an emergency, you can use food colouring to disguise the colour of blood - just don't use cochineal.....
