I use the boots own suckables I think called Travel Calm

http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Travel-Calm-12-Tablets_11345/?exploreAttributes=-_--_--_--_-Pharmacy%20%26%20Health-_-Best%20Match-_-List-_-%27Search%3A%20Category%27-_--_-%201%3EDepartment%3A%20Pharmacy%20%26%20Health-_-Top%20Nav-_-%270%27 for my YD ( cannot take colourings so no joyrides etc) I personally use stugeron, or Avomine which is old fashioned but can be bought from online pharmacies. MY GP says TS is psychological...but I was carsick on saturday, which is unusual, as I'm fine i the front seat, but the OH has had 3 new tyres, and the rebalancing made me sick...I did not know this! I am easily TS...buses, trains, childrens rides......just watching a roller coaster on tcv sets me off....

Good luck....

 Oooh Chicken Shack - not nice. Thats why when I researched the patches I decided against them, due to possible after effects on removing the patch. However, they may work for some and be absolutely fine.

ES went to Conway with school and was fine on the Kwells tablets. Luckily there was a teaching assistant who has known ES from birth, and she made sure he had a 2nd tablet on the return journey after being offsite one day. :D

He swam in Telford last night - the coach was not the most modern and luxurious I have ever seen :anxious: , and ES had a tab before departing and one on the way back. He did say he felt a little nauseous but nothing major. He says it had more to do with the "smell" of the coach than the actual motion though :vom:

................. MY GP says TS is psychological......

:twisted: ..so how did my daughter start at 6 months? Surely it's well known that it's the ear balance? Mind over matter plays a small part, but it's mostly physiological.

For goodness sake, I'd put all doctors who don't understand sickness into Room 101. :wall: Sorry for rant!

Anyway, sorry to hear about the patches, Chickenshack.

Glad it worked out well for your son SarahJo, but I know what he means about the coach smell.

My youngest did too....she would get to a certain roundabout on the way to my Mum's house, then blech. yt GP thinks most thinks are psychological, or down to a lack of fruit juice. Beats my old one, who always thought it was pregnancy, menstruation or the menopause. Even when I had an abnormal bowel tumour he said it was painful ovulation, the pillock!!

I had tghe most vile travel sickness and could not even be going a couple of miles in a car - as someone else said I would rather have stayed at home - once on our way to a music festival I was playing piano and was in primary school I went in the doctors wifes car - I can assure you my mum was given a prescription for me - I think it was dramamine and then I took avomine which always worked for me whether in car or plane - I grew out of it but can still make myself sick on a twisty road when I am driving! My DD was the same and DS was no prob and could go anywhere and OH was also a sick child in a car
