Unsecure chicken perches

Hi all you experience chicken keepers,

 

My little lavender Orpington hasn't done a normal poop for sometime, it's a dark mustard coloured splat. Been looking at pictures of normal poo in the chicken books.

 

She is a greedy guts and is first in line everytime (never seen anything eat with so much gusto). Not laid any eggs, I think we have a fair few weeks to go (unless she's a he). She seems happy enough and is still no. 2 Chook. Does have a baldy bum though but there is some fluff starting to appear.

 

Any ideas gratefully recieved as I'm starting to worry now .

Have you wormed them recently? If not its worth getting some flubenvet.

It can mean a whole lot of things, too many treats is the common one for my girls!

Any more symptoms?

Only had them just over 2 weeks now. All came from the same place. The others don't seem to be suffering the ill effects of my feeding. I put some apple vinegar in the water this morning to try.

They do sometimes get upset tums when they are settling in. Avipro is good it contains friendly bacteria that help the gut. if you cant get Avipro you could try adding a small amount of live yogurt to the food.

Ok will give this a try, what do I do mix it with the growers stuff?

Avipro goes in the water. Yoghurt you can make a porridge with, mix some of the feed with a little warm water to make it sloppy and add the yoghurt.
