Neck Bobbing?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, All the usuals have been done. Good food, clean bedding, wormed etc. Dorothy (who has been poorly for a while with intestinal lumps and bumps- and hasn't laid for 10months now) has been going downhill slowly. She's been off food and water, but when all looks lost, she's started eating and drinking again blah blah blah.

However, she's started 'bobbing' her neck. she usually stands all shriveled up, but does a fab giraffe impression. I think that it's going to be a nerve fault or brain defect, and know it's only a matter of time. I can feel grain in her crop now, and I don't think that she's trying to clear her crop.

Has anyone else seen 'bobbing' before?

Thanks

Stacey

Yes, it is from side to side. I picked her up, and she oozzed a bit of gue from her beak. I 'emptied her' and she looked a little better, but I know she's on her way out. Off to the vets tomorrow (he's very good and a chucky expert) but I guess he'll end her suffering :-( It's been a long time coming, and we didn't expect her to last this long to be honest. On the plus side, she had something to eat today, and washed it down with a mixture of apple cider vinegar, and fresh water--- crossing fingers. Bought her in tonight, as it's meant to be cold this evening. Thanks for your help
