Mrs Webmuppet
I saw him many many years ago at the NEC. One of the best gigs ever. Advance tickets are on sale thro' the Planet Rock website http://www.eventim.co.uk/cgi-bin/tickets.html?fun=erdetail&doc=erdetaila&erid=449864&affiliate=ROK
chickencam
OH saw Meatloaf a couple of times in Newcastle, when he was a student in Durham. On one occasion he collapsed on stage after only a few songs, so they got a rematch some time later. This was 20 odd years ago though, he must be getting on a bit now. Snowy
His voice certainly isn't what it used to be (in fact i think it's quite bad now) but I would still love the chance to hear all those Bat Out of Hell songs, even if he does rely on supporting singers to bolster him through it! Just not sure I want to listen to any of his new stuff - is it any good?
Chickvic
Now if you could guarantee all the Bat Out of Hell songs -
Snowy
Now if you could guarantee all the Bat Out of Hell songs - I know!! I booked to see him last time as a birthday present for my son's 16th birthday - we played Bat Out of Hell at full volume all the way to the NEC and were primed for a brilliant evening, only to be turned away as we got there. Soooooooo disappointed Went back a few weeks later to see Alice Cooper and Motorhead instead (which just wasn't the same for me, although son enjoyed it!) Now he says he isn't interested anymore and doesn't want to come with me!
Chickvic
I just asked my DH if he wanted to come - the answer was an emphatic NO
