just to let you all know we've decided on the name Kinuko, 'nuko' for short

she has been getting on well with the ex-bat girls and they've been feeding together on the 'dividing' line and been poking their heads through the mesh to eat from each other's sides with absolutely no bother at all

 

we decided to let kinuko & doris (who is top chook) free range together yesterday and she has turned out to be the best big sister ever! doris didn't peck or stand up to nuko once, even tho she insisted on following her around the whole time copying every single thing she did...whatever doris pecked nuko pecked, wherever doris scratched nuko scatched...it was actually so sweet to watch & to see a side to doris we've never seen before

 

they spent about half hour together yesterday and we will do the same this evening & again tomorrow, with the hopes of free ranging her with all 3 girls on sunday...
