andynjanec
I normally count them in at night but yesterday morning one had vanished. She never goes out of the garden so I can only think that she didnt come back in the night before. I have spent 2 hours searching in every car, van ,shed, box, nook and cranny as they can get into tiny obscure places. I can only think that she is quietly sitting on a pile of eggs somewhere as I have noticed a serious depletion since I started letting them out again when i returned from holiday last week......or mr fox payed a visit during the night and found her out.No feathers though. Its a Mystery!
chicken bark
Keep looking andynjanec. Maybe she's roosting in a tree? I've read that they can get into REALLY small spaces and then get stuck. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope it wasn't a predator.
