Hi All

 

During the week on the way home from work I misjudged the distance between my car and a parked one and my passenger door mirror hit theirs - oops . My car came off worst and I have completely lost the mirror and the fitment bit that presses into the rest of the casement still attached to the car. I am wondering if anyone can suggest a reputable website where I can order a new one? I could go to the dealer where I bought the car from but to be honest I know when I get there the service will be appalling and I'll probably never get the new one from them. I'm still waiting on manuals and the car is a 58 registration!

I once bought an electric wing mirror from a salvage company on the web it cost me £40 and a friend fitted it for me. Volvo wanted about £300 to do the same.

 

just do a search you will need the make model etc...not sure if Halfords sell them. It could be cheaper to buy 2 black ones and replace both(I had to do that before)

Unfortunately I don't have a breakers yard nearby. Will keep looking but so far can only find an adhesive backed mirror to stick on top of the existing one or a whole new door mirror.

Try asking some local mechanics if they know of a breakers yard - they are everywhere!
