CharLeila
Hi, I'v had my girls almost a year and have never wormed them. They all seem healthy (apart from a bald patch on Pepperpot) and are all laying lovely eggs. They have never been ill and have never had anything medicated. Could anyone tell me if they have to be wormed and if there is anything else I should be doing to keep them on top form. Many thanks
Chucky Mama
Hens can have worms without you seeing evidence (they usually shed microscopic worm eggs rather than worms) Info re Flubenvet worming here **CLICK**
chicken bark
I worm mine every 6 months. Although it is possible that if your girls free range over a large area then they won't get worms. But I like to do mine just in case. I also give mine ACV every now and then.
Lavenders_Blue
If your girls are anything like mine and regularly feasting on worms, mice and sparrows then it mightn't be a bad idea. It's a good idea to regularly worm them, it keeps them healthy. 2-3 times a year should be okay.
