meezers
All 10 have just been squawking their heads off for no apparent reason.OH came to fetch me from the living room as he'd never heard anything like it before, he didn't need to fetch me, I was already on my way - what a racket - but so funny., Even Doris was joining in and she was busy in the nestbox .There's nothing in the garden that could have started them off, and I've checked the field beside the run, can only think it must have been a bird of prey flying low - I'm sure we've had one land on the run roof before. All quiet now, but how strange. Haven't heard anything like it since I've had them
Mollie333
Probably thought they were in danger. Cheryl the turkey used to act as a cockerel and shout 'danger' to the others, if she saw a pigeon which *just* could be a Bird of Prey. dancing cloud
Mine completely freaked out a few weeks ago, all alarm-calling and looking upset, and it turned out to be a sparrowhawk. Even ex-batts recognised a predator when they saw one. It's not actually that much bigger than they are, so no real threat but it's been back since and got the same reception - they're taking no chances!
