brambles
My ladies live in an eglu cube. New girls have arrived (3) and are living in the eglu classic whilst we get them merged. Last night the cube door was shut as it blew in high winds. Come dusk I went out to check on the girls and found five of them inside the eglu classic roosting area/nestbox (including two cochins - not small!) and the remaining two attempting at least to crane parts of their heads and necks in! I'm sure they'd have climbed over the top of the rest and sat on them to fill the place up. It was like a student record for how many they could fit into a phone box. Needless to say, tonight they'll be having a sleepover all seven together in the 'big house' - let's hope it's not bloodshed at dawn! karlotta
They do like to squeeze in don't they!! I've had 4 girls, huge salmon fav, massive wellsummer, and a lovely big jubilee orp along with a mini RIR in an eglu (with extended run) temporarily while they were introduced and once they were mixing, and before I get them to go to bed in one of the cubes, I've also had another huge orp girly bunking with them by choice! There seems to be lots more room too!
