Unsecure chicken perches

Does anyone recommend where to get POL Hybrid in Fife area? I would like hens that lay white eggs and hens that lay green/blue egss. Just so it makes my eggs look different. Is it too late in the year to get these or would it be best to wait until spring?

I have got mine from a few places in the past, not in Fife except ones i was given

not seen that website before , will keep it in mind for a source of chickens

You could try the Omlet Marketplace or the Dundee Courier on Saturday past had an advert for blue egg layers (perhaps Arucanas (sp.)) If I can find the add or a link to it I will send you a PM because not sure I would be allowed to publish other people's details etc.

I ended up going just north of Aberdeen to Pegasus Poultry (http://www.pegasuspoultry.moonfruit.com) to get some Meadowsweet hybrids as I couldn't find anything suitable in Fife. Although they are lovely chickens and Angela is very nice I was disappointed to find that all Meadowsweet hens are beak trimmed (but this may change next year as I think legislation is being put in place to prevent beak trimming).

I have also visited henkeepingfife and she is very nice but didn't have any hybrids when I went there.

Not in Fife, but I buy my girls from George Ogilvie at Ballencrieff Mains Farm in Longniddry (south of Edinburgh).

Hi Again not in Fife but Dorinda Fontana Peebles poultry club is a show breeder & amongst many others ,breeds & shows araucanas ( blue egg layers) . Her birds are beautifully looked after. Hope you are able to get what you want Alli x
