WarrensWorld
I'm about to upgrade my desktop computer and need a few ideas and a bit of advice. In the past I've chosen DELL, but they seem to cost an awful lot of money for what they contain nowadays. I really just need the tower or mini-tower the peripherals monitor keyboard etc, I've already upgraded too. So any ideas, recommendations at all thanks. PS: I already have a laptop. WarrensWorld
What's it you want this beastie to do? Well I'm not that into gaming, I just want a 64 bit, windows 7, large memory and fast!. Perhaps an half way decent graphics card.... . circa £400.00.
Geoid
I would wait until next year before buying any new computer equipment as they are replacing BIOS with UEFI, which means computers could boot in seconds. More info here
Chucky Mama
ES recently bought a desktop from **HERE** - Hate the website but the computer is fantastic (not bought for the purpose of gaming in mind). Extremely fast, boot up within seconds and is very slick. It was much better value that a Dell and the sort of thing available at PC World etc.
Snowy
I think this looks a good bargain if you just want the tower: ***Aldi PC***
chickric
I think this looks a good bargain if you just want the tower: ***Aldi PC*** The systems from Aldi are very good, we had one for about 4 years with no problems, only got rid because I wanted something newer, gave it to my niece and it's still going strong. Seriously worth considering if you can find one.

debbier
You can buy Dell systems without the monitor, though it can take a bit of digging around on their site.
