joza2210
Hello , Now its come to the time of worming ... Last time i used verm - x twice and then the diatom earth just to keep it away! But now that i have more and more poultry i think its time to worm them ... So how do i use it ? (Going to get the solid form and not the liquid form) How many birds does the 60g for a week medicate ? Would i have to buy 2 because i have around 30 birds now ? Thanks

joza2210
Thanks ... So i have been doing my maths ... And i have worked out roughly ... (This is just estimating) That 2kg food and a 6g scoop would be good for about 5-6 chickens for around 2-3 days! So therefore roughly after 7 days i would of used 100g of flubenvet (Around 15-16 scoops) And will be using 20-30kg of food ... And medicating around 25 birds ... Sound all ok ? Redwing
Josh, try to get hold of the 2.5% strength, not only is it stronger so you need less powder but it comes in a 240g pot - much larger than the pot the 1% comes in Its only a bit more expensive but make far more sense if you have a big flock
Redwing
Forgot to say the 2.5% dose is 2.4g of powder (half a teaspoon) to 2kg feed
mollyripkim
Hi I will be worming my five silkies for the first time, are they still allowed to free range - they are used to being out in the garden most of the day and really create a fuss if I leave them in if I am not around for the day? Thanks. Kim

You could add a bit of cod liver oil to make them sticky and so the flubenvet sticks to them + coats
