Angie
For years i have loved oil of Ulay, then came menopause and my skin just melted anything i put on it . Now i can get through a week or more with no night sweats or dripping days, nice at last, my skin is years behind with its pampering. I went back to a more mature Ulay, it just felt like grease on my skin ...tried that lovely brand from Aldi at 1.99....very nice but oily patches...visited boots and asked for samples..... got loads !! 4 wks later i have taken advantage of thier 3 for 2 offer on No 7 Protect and perfect 'Intense " cream my skin just loves it. Pity it is 20 quid a pot, i hope it lasts a long long long time. I can't believe the price of moisturiser !!! Do we really get what we pay for ??? lillybettybabs
They're very pricey, I use ROC and now trawl the net for offers before i buy. Edited October 19, 2010 by Guest
Angie
My mum wears ROC and she buys a few pots when it is on offer. Mum looks fab for 76yrs, hope i have my mums genes, (although i think my OD is like my mum.)
quickcluck
The No7 beauty serum is fabulous also!!!!
Olly
I buy Waitrose unperfumed stuff .... my skin reacts to a lot of things, and I just decided years ago to go for the basic cheap-and-cheerful. My skin doesn't look too bad for my age I don't think, obviously if I'd invested in better moisturisers earlier then I might have the face of a 30-year old, but it would look a bit daft on my rather older body! LisaP
I have been converted to the Aldi moisturiser, serum and make up wipes, following a thread on here Lisa P
Charlottechicken
I'm using Almay at the moment, it was 50p in Ethel Austin, when they were closing down I usually use the Boots Expert range these days. There's often an offer on and it's only £4.50 when on at full price too, plus it has sun protection as well, and my sensitive skin is OK with it. Cinnamon
I do product testing and am trialing the most amazing face cream at the moment. No idea what brand, but my skin is firmer and has a nice healthy glow........3 more weekday testing then they can tell me the brand before it is launched! DebC
My dear old Gran (who had the most amazing skin I have ever seen) always used to say that you should use soap and water, twice a day without fail, and the best moisturiser that you can afford, again twice a day. She had that regime until the day she died at 82, still with the most amazing skin. So I use dove sensitive, boots Protect & perfect Serum and Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser and on occassion a cream moisturiser as well. I always buy the Clinque when they have an offer on, so I get samples of all sorts of other useful things, including the cream moisturiser. So far my skin is surviving the menopause, but it drinks up anything that I put on it. Hope normal service resumes soon!
Calamity Jane
I rather like avon. one for mature skin, you can usually get good offers with them.
Cinnamon
I also think that like shampoo, it is a good thing to mix it up a bit. When I am not product testing I use No7 P&P creams & serum,or Clinique, depending what is on offer at the time. I am a bit of a sucker for e new product & have to keep myself in check when new adverts come out for the latest wonder crem. The only products I have been able to resist with any force recently are the Aldi ones, the smell of which I hated
