Farming - the uncuddly truth

Recommended Posts

I just wish they would outlaw importing anything that comes from a country where they have lower welfare standards than here

Mind you we would all starve as the state of the UK farming industry is so bad it couldn't sustain us :evil::evil:

Lets hope we don't have another world war anytime soon

I agree.....the way some other countries treat their animals is way more shocking than welfare in Britain. Spain being one of the worst culprits. I watched a programme years ago on lambs in a spanish abattoir and it turned me vegetarian.

I agree tonights programme should be shown to persuade the british public but its not for me...im WAY too sensitive....even seeing a dead rabbit on the road starts me off :oops: !!

I get my milk from a proper old fashioned milkman who does a reliable (even in deep snow) delivery and provides a community service by collecting prescriptions for the elderly folk on his round and being an altogether really nice bloke. I feel it is important to do my bit to keep people like him in employment.

oh what a nice guy!! that is the other option we're looking in to, dave is trying to find out where the local milkman's milk comes from and what time of day they deliver (we leave for work at 6 and don't want it left in sun all day)

You could make an insulated box - or place an order for Organic meat with Sheepdrove and it will be delived in an insulated box which could be used :D
