Geoid
That may be a hoax, but it does have a valid point, don't go adding people you don't know.
Alis girls
I often look over ES's shoulder and see people I havent a clue who they are and say things like "whose this weirdo and that weirdo" really to wind him up - he just deletes anyone he doesnt know. I am shocked by the language esp some of his mates who if they used it in my house would be shown the door. Personally I think this and the other Twitter thing is a real dangerous mess. Was reading about the girl who met a paedo and was mudered by him in the paper the other day. so sad.
Lesley
I looked over my granddaughter's shoulder when she was chatting on Skype to one of her internet school friends ( a bit different as she does know them) and saw the word porn.........all antennae bristling, I waded in with "who's that....." etc. The word was completely out of context (to me) and had completely gone over her (12 years old) head but it worried me enough to speak to my daughter. She reads through g/d's Skype history regularly anyway and had a word with g/d and the boy involved. He has an older brother and has a different vocabulary to the other youngsters in the class..........and then we also found out that the word has a completely different meaning in street slang ........we felt so old Best to be vigilant though. Tiggy
I did wonder if it was a hoax, not nice if you are the chap named but at least we can keep our eyes open. i did find that my 13 year old neice had posted a pic of herself looking much older & had put herself on as being 21, she & her young friends though it was great I sent messages to them all pointing out how dangerous this is. Niece has taken me off as her friend and was not speaking to me last week, apparently Im a nosey old so & so and shouldnt be interfering. oh the joys of being a teenager & being so right about everything, never mind she'll grow up one day & hopefully realise I was looking out for her
