coco
I hadn't long come in from work and went to let the girls out for a bit. I went to let the newbies out and realised there was something missing from their run, food. I'd completely forgotten to give then their food this morning, they were very hungry. they all go to bed at about 4.00 so it must have been a late breakfast early supper. Oops. sari
I have been late home from work every night this week , and with 2 poorly girls ( children, not chhoks) this a.m, the chooks got a cursory headcount and a handful of greens flung in and highspeed, and I have just been down now to give them some corn...it's life I'm afraid! I'll be having lots of quality time tomorrow I hope! DOn't beat yourself up about it. I'm sure you'll be ultra attentive now.....
Plum
You're going to be in the doghouse now with them for ages and they'll be waiting up for a big feed every night. Better forgetting food than forgetting to let them out which several of us have done They've got to stop putting adverts at the bottom of these threads it's so tempting to get my card out. beach chick
my turn to be a bad mummy last night - went out about 5.30 to shut the WIR door only to find that the bit of wood holding the pophole open had fallen over, so they were all grumbling sleepily on the ground under the ladder in the mud and rain! poor things. had to pick them up one by one and shove them into the WIR, where they all sat in the doorway and whinged while I stuff the next chicken in... but they did all manage to go to bed in the cube!
