I'm planning to fly over in late April, then the 3 of us are going to drive down through Sweden, across the big bridge into Denmark, then drive south, catch a ferry to northern Germany for a weekend there (my friend, Ylva is half Swedish and half German), the drive back to theirs, stay a day there then back home!! I could get used to this holiday lark after 20 years without one!!!

Glad you had a great time! We drove to Sweden this year, taking the ferry to Esbjerg and driving across Denmark and over the bridge. We stopped at various places on our way up to Stockholm but found wild camping was not as easy as it is made out to be and only managed one night outside of an official campsite. It was really great to see a bit more of Sweden than just the airport, the airport bus, the ferry and our island where we have our summer house! I think you'll have a brilliant time on your April trip!
