Funnily enough as the kitchen in the Hovel has finally fallen apart in every way (hopefully planning perms will be granted soon for the remodel in the New Year) we have decided this year for Xmas my talented Catering Student son will make a platter of Sushi followed by a lavish cheeseboard with homemade bread. Quite liberating really!

That sounds great! - you could use the above recipe at tea-time, to round off your day - none of the annoying leftovers

That's what I like - one pot cooking.

 

It could be improved slightly....by frying it in butter and garnishing with a sprig of holly.
