Willow Posted November 16, 2010 Share Posted November 16, 2010 And I am so pleased, the house looks great (apart from one last high window I need to rub down and stain ) A forum member's husband did them and he has done such a great job Much better price than the major companies and no talking up the job either. Good job it went well as my OH was a bit sceptical initially but he is also really pleased. The original conversation went a little like ' So you want this guy we've never heard of to do the sofits and guttering ? and remind me where did you hear if him ? oh yes wasn't it because his wife keeps chickens ' Where upon my response was ' he did build her a lovely chicken run so I know he does good work' Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Willow Posted November 16, 2010 Author Share Posted November 16, 2010 I may be corrected by someone more knowledgeable but what I'm thinking of (and what was replaced) are the boards that the guttering attaches to. Its kind of like boxing that goes all around the top of your house. I now have nice smart white underside and black facing boards. Ours was all flaky and blistering and with three separate extensions at the back of the house and a smaller extension at the front porch wasn't consistent either.
