As mentioned in the 'what have you been making' thread, I've been making Christmas decorations and I am pleased with how they are looking. I want to make some more of the longer, hanging type but, love the little 'tree' shaped ones too.

 

 

 

I have also got some idea for a 'draping' type, but need to get some more fruit.

Hi Ygerna - those are brilliant. Well done! How did you dry the fruit..in a microwave? I'd like a go at this as I love the Scandinavian look.

I tried drying my fruit, made several attempts but simply could not get it right. In the end I purchased some commercially dried ones. I decided that after you take into account my having to go get the fruit, cut it, electricity to dry it, then throw it all away buying it in would be the cheaper/easier option.

The bay leaves come from our own tree though.

Thanks I've been distracted now by the other goodies on the site. The dried tree wreath looks a good start for a project and love the heart section that will solve a christmas present
