brambles
I bought three pure breeds in august at pol from wernlas. Probably about 20 weeks then. They have all the face furniture now, particularly the Sussex and the Cochin. For the last couple of days my Sussex has been crouching when I go to pick her up. Might she start laying for the first time or is this just me getting excited?!

Stella14
I got a Barnevelder on Tuesday. She is approximately 22 weeks old. I was told that she would probably not begin laying until next year - she laid her first egg this morning! Yay!

brambles
She was roosting on the nestbox divider tonight after I arrived back from the poultry show. She even crouched in her sleep as I gave her a hug.

meezers
My Faverolles and Araucana are taking their own sweet time. Every morning my cockerel does his little dance around Lola, and every morning she looks at him as if to say ' no, I don't think so!' Fingers crossed she'll come into lay before Christmas, I want some eggs .
