Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

Hi,

 

Does anyone know if it's ok to mix a Light Sussex Bantam with a Gingernut Ranger, Bluebelle (Blue Ranger) and Speckledy?

We have a Speckeldy, a Black Rock, a Light Sussex and a Sablepoot Bantam all in together and they get along quite well. Its very sweet to see Jean Claude Ban-Tam snuggled up with the big girls in the evening her feet feathers do get trodden on sometimes though.

some say that bantie cant mix with big girls, but I've always done it with success. just make sure there is enough space for everyone, and perches/things to hide behind if anyone wants to retreat quietly!

You should be fine, the light sussex is a chunky bantam

I have a little Silkie cross Bantam Pipa and she lives quiet happily with the big girls. She's the only one that doesn't get picked on by anyone as she is so feisty she gives them all the runaround. She was swinging of Welsummer Fleurs feathers yesterday, I thnk she's the chicken equvilant of a Jack Russell. It does depend on the individual chicken though.
