TutuTallulah
Just wondered if anyone had been and if it was any good this year? I went a couple of years ago and had a lovely time. I am going again with my daughter next Monday and just had a look at the map on the website - it looks much bigger than my previous visit. I'm hoping to pick up some last minute gifts and we're going on the train so we can indulge in the mulled wine
Egluntyne
Pop into the get togethers section and you will find a thread devoted to this very subject.
craftyhunnypie
I'm going again this week - through the week, rather than weekend. Emma.x
TutuTallulah
Thanks Eggluntyne and CHP x Just had a look at the 'get togethers' thread - it sounds like it will be a lovely day out, we just need to wrap up warm! When I was there last time there was a man selling willow deer - I so want one this year, I just hope we can get it home on the train... gongladosh
The Christmas market in Manchester tends to grow every year - this year there's a French section. Pleasingly, in the main bit, the price of gluhwein hasn't gone up (for once!)
craftyhunnypie
I thought it had. Could have sworn it was £2.50 last year. £3 this year & £3.50 if you want rum or something else in it. £3.99 a bottle from the supermarkets. I'm not a miser - but it is naughty that they are selling Aldi & Lidl bottles of Gluhwein for £7 on the markets! Wish they'd bring back the cute little gluhwein jug mugs - instead of these contemporary style ones with ' the wheel on'. We are going again tomorrow. Watch out Paperchase & Selfridges! stehaggan
There is also a new part on king street this is the first year there. It has a hot chocolate stall yum yum
gongladosh
I only bought one of those bratwursts this year - I'm sure they're about £50 a sausage now!
