alexsamp
How many muscovy ducks could you get in a duck eglu?
karlotta
I would say Muscovys are far too big for an eglu.... Sorry.
chicken bark
Karlotta - just for clarification - is it the eglu that is too small or the run (or both)? Alex - how about miniature silver appleyards or call ducks?
alexsamp
Alex - how about miniature silver appleyards or call ducks? yeah, its just i am trying to decide which duck breed is best for me.
chicken bark
Alex - maybe you should be looking at a duck house that is not an eglu? Don't get me wrong I'm sure the eglu would be good but a bigger house (with a taller door) could mean more choice of ducks. I have Cayuga's which are lovely (I am biased of course) but they are rather big. Very hardy though and relatively quiet.
Redwing
I would say Muscovys are far too big for an eglu.... Sorry. Agreed, they are big ducks Call ducks, black East Indies or Mini silver appleyards would be ok
Poached
Hi I have had call ducks and indian runners in a eglu classic and i have also had appleyards and aylesburys in a cube. Hope it helps Josh
karlotta
Karlotta - just for clarification - is it the eglu that is too small or the run (or both)? I think both would be too small. I have my runners in a Gree Frog like yours and can't imagine them in an eglu never mind great big chunky Muscovys. .... and i have also had appleyards and aylesburys in a cube. How did they get in? Or was it without the wheels etc?
Poached
Karlotta: it was without wheels when they lived in it
