jjmack
Hi, I am doing new year for friends (8 adults and alot of children) Doing pizza for kids and party food. One friend doing starters, one pud and one cheese. I am doing main course. I need ideas for something really easy that I can just throw out with not much effort. I don't really want to do chilli or lasagne as I want it to be a bit more than that. Was thinking coq au vin or chicken veronique (grapes and white wine and cream), but looking for some inspiration. maybe something I can put on in the slow cooker, ideally chicken or fish based as i don't eat red meat. All ideas gratefully received, Thanks J

craftyhunnypie
Have a Fajita party - where people make up their own from wraps, chicken / beef strips, mexican rice, grated cheese, red peppers & onions, plus guacamole, salsa & sour cream. We have a large electric griddle that is fab for a fajita party. Think this is what we will do, if we don't go out & we will probably set up the chocolate fountain too. majorbloodnock
Something boulangere might well fit the bill. My favourite is duck, but the basic principle works just as well with meaty white fish or lots of other meats.
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Fajitas are fun for children. Or how about fondue?
