Watching your girls on a webcam by Mobile

Recommended Posts

I though I would share this.

I after much searching have found a great site that you can down load a really simple easy to use web cam or IP camera viewer that lets you not only watch on another PC but you can down load an App direct to your mobile phone.

There is a big list of phones that it will work for not just i-phones and blackberry's. :D

Again it is simple to open and watch, NO complicated settings and a great picture!

This app is not free but at £4 well who can complain and it is made by an Irish company that actualluy responds to your emails and really does fix t if things go wrong, mine stopped working 3 days after I found it and this was ovcer the holiday, not only was my email answered he worked on fixing it..... :!::!::!::D:clap:

I did not know this would be the case and down loaded a couple of others, one was ubber smart and you could view 4 cameras but the picture were therefore too small, and you could get alerts and it recorded every so many minutes., and saves to your hard drive for min 7 days...neither of which I wanted. And could find no way of turning off

And a couple more free ones simply did not work.

SOOOOO

If you want a really easy to use program.

I have two cams - one in the WIR and one in the garden; I spend far too much time watching the chickens. But it did show that when 5 of them all tried to sit on the same perch there were problems and it fell over (design error; now rectified by hubby) and Linda got a bang on the head in all the hullabaloo.

I set the garden cam to record movement in the garden during the night and save a short video to my PC; which is really interesting to see who visits the garden at night; so far only the little black and white cat from across the road.

Here is a link to a previous thread which contains further links to more threads on the topic of webcams.

With mine i can only watch (either on PC or smartphone) if I am connected to the same network that the cameras are on - so if I'm not at home I can't view (I will hopefully be resolving this issue soon - as it is vital that i can see my chickens from anywhere in the world)
