It was suggested I post this here since you all have more members and experience than us on the US site. Is this a lash?

 

I have one girl who's an egg machine. Her body just wants to lay. She had a difficult time stopping as the days got shorter. She just finished 14 days of vet prescribed antibiotic for a bacterial infection. She had lost alot of weight. She was the last to molt and is still in the process of growing some of her feathers, but is almost fully feathered. All in all, she's had a rough time lately. She's eating, drinking, running around, but also gets a bit puffed up and is the first in the eglu at night. She's much better since the antibiotics and doesn't look or act sickly as she did before.

 

She drops these "gifts" about once a day. Not in the nest. This was the largest. They're usually 1/4 to1/2 that size. Could her body be trying to lay and it's just not time? Perhaps that's making her feel poorly? Also, her poo is very small.

 

Oh, and that's not blood or red in the photo, it's my camera. That was just space that came out red.

 

Any ideas, suggestions, anything??? Thanks, sorry for the long post and looking forward to your experise!

Looks like an egg that's partially reabsorbed that's probably what a lash is

Thanks for the reply! So probably a lash. Is this normal? I know every now and then it happens, but I get at least a little one a day.

Looks like a lash, and they often seem to happen after some sort of illness.
