Kar333
So nice to let the girls out this morning and see their chickeny faces in surprise that the ground was no longer white! They are running around not having to walk in a line along the dug out paths! Now if they'd only start laying again.....
Mollie333
Our snow went about a week ago, i let the chickens out in the morning as usual (they daren't go on the scary white stuff.. ) and they FLEW out the house at the sight of grass. Eggasperated
My chicken area was still covered in snow this morning when I let them out, but we went out for the day and when we got back it had nearly all gone! My girls were spread across the netted enclosure scoffing grass as fast as they could. They were still out eating after it had started to get dark and I was worried they weren't going to go to bed, but eventually they went and when I collected the food they had only eaten about half of it - obviously too busy enjoying the grass after 6 weeks of that horrible white stuff . JS1
Just a few patches of ice left with us (Highland Perthshire) after massive overnight thaw. Poor chickens are shut in to their run this morning, though, because the electric fence battery is being recharged!
Luvachicken
I'm so pleased for you that all your snow has gone. I don't manage very well in the snow and ours lasted just a week so I think all of you deserve a medal for putting up with the snow for so long. Well done, can't wait for Spring.....I did spot some snowdrop buds already.................soon be Summer
