oneyolktoanother
took pip in today to have her op they cut her crop open and got out the blockage said she is doing really well and has been a very good girl but they are concerned that her crop is'nt compacting back to size and have give her medcine and to keep a close eye on her, but they did say that it could just be the fact that she has had this ongoing probelm and that it might be a case of it taking time. Does anyone know anything about this? and can share some knowledge, like what will happen if it does'nt shrink back? it's worrying me like mad Have to pick pip up at 5-530, just can't wait to get her home
Falkor
Crop Compaction can cause the crop to stretch and distort the muscles so like us damaged muscles take a while to heal. It also means that the compaction is more likely to happen in the future as muscles are weakened and can't push the food through to the next stage. The vet should be able to offer advice on the best route forward after her operation. Close monitoring is key of course Keep is updated. I'm just so glad she is doing well
