Angie Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) Just to let you know that Frazzle has joined Sassy, (who laid her first egg 2nd of Jan). And laid her first egg today a lovely cream one. ... I thought i was only going to have one chook laying eggs for eternity. Now i have given Henny Penny my araucana a really good talking to and i hope we came to some agreement, that as Feb is just around the corner and she is very red in the face i will let her off not crouching yet if she would join in the game and lay that elusive Blue egg for me....i gave her a few extra worms as an incentive. I think we understood each other. Today Henny Penny .....she laid the first egg and she isn't crouching either, it weighs in at 35gms and is a pale blue ..nice. Three egg day today. Angie Posted January 29, 2011 Author Share Posted January 29, 2011 I know so happy about it ...sorry i can't do the photo thing...yet Sassy is a welsummer bantie and her first egg weighed in at just a tad short of 40gm Frazz is weighing in at 35gm, a nice even cream and a lovely shape, they will get bigger as sassies have, hers are now weighing just over 50gm after 4 weeks.... my lovely chooks i just love them so easy to look after for me and my arthritis...can't wait for the last one to appear, soon i hope.
