hi all, not been around for a while... but have a question and need omleteer ideas!

 

we have a WIR plus 50m of electric fencing. I want to move the fencing so the girls can go onto a rough area of land next to the WIR, rather than in front of it. (so basically swing it around by about 90 deg)

 

the question is, is there something I can use as a 'temporary' extension to close a gap of 1m max between the back of the WIR and the last pole on the fence? the WIR sits on a deck, so I cant bring the electric fence right up to it in the new position because of the height differential.

 

any ideas o clever omleteers?

Can you not just use chicken wire

Does it still need to be electrified if its temporary?

 

You can get all kinds of clever gates etc for electric fencing, for farms + livestock.

Fearings (catalogue) is one that I always get sent and springs to mind

You can buy a 1m gate section for electric netting. I guess it could be used despite the height differential. It comes with clips to join the electrified wires together so the gate is electrified too. I've seen them on various websites. Worth a look?
